While in Maui , Hawaii, we wrote about the Five Palms Restaurant in Kihei with a must-see on the waterfront location perfect for sunset or sunrise dining experiences. The food is outstanding and we ate there a few nights in a row to have their seafood catch of the day. The seafood in Maui can be so fresh that it was swimming just a few hours earlier.
On the Kanapaali Beach part of Maui in Lahaina the Hula Grill is on the sand and if you dine outside on the benches you can have your feet in the sand and a cocktail in your hand and the most wonderful fish and chips on earth. The fish and chips are made with mahi mahi and we are just in love with them. Before leaving the restaurant we bought a 3pack gift item for our adult children with their own spices.
As we headed to the road to Hana to see waterfalls, we came across a place called Paia and a restaurant that has been at the same location for about 30 years called Mama's Fish House. It's a beautiful, upscale, waterfront dining experience. You will pay the price and love every bite. Mama's Fish house also has an onsite resort stay if you don't want to leave.
